My pleasure! I'm so happy you found inspiration in it.

Funny story about my notebook. My sister pointed out that our grandma would not have liked my notebook's name. The book itself was my grandmas, her name was Leota Mrytle, and she hated Mrytle. I considered that and decided I loved it and it would be perfect. But when my sister brought it up, I reconsidered and pivoted slightly. I'll still stitch the full name & cover it up with another piece of fabric that can be lifted up. Seemed like an appropriate way to honor her and keep the name I love.

Oh I love the photo of you mid-stitch! This is such a wonderful ritual!

Thanks Amanda. I find slow-stitching to be a ritual that slows me down, takes me out of my head and into my heart. So calming and comforting. Do you do any kind of stitching?

I am so often stitching patches to cover holes in the knee or bum for my son and husband. Sometimes I use the sewing machine and sometimes by hand. Knee patches on kid pants are far easier by hand! What I’m really looking forward to is getting back to working on the quilt I’m making for my son. I took a break over summer and I’m only half way done the squares so far…

Grandma hated her name as much as Mom hated her own. She wouldn't be too pleased, 😂.

🤣 I considered that and decided I love it! Just like we named our little vintage trailer Mabel Kay. 🤣
